Halloween at the Glenwood 1999.

Nikki Lowry and Chanelle Abbot tell about their deadly house fire.
Sunday, October 31st found between 600 and 700 children and adults passing through the cemetery gates to see the spirits rising on the 5th annual production of the popular event. Sunny, unseasonable warm weather contributed to a record turnout.

The visitors were greeted by Carol Nichols and Sydney Reed in period costumes and led to ten "spirits" who stood by their graves and told the stories of their mostly sad lives and deaths. This year the colorful characters were played by Stephanie Knapik, Hal Compton, Larry Pozil, Katherine Henney, Bruce Feyer-bend, Paul and Beth Schneider, Jan Davison, Van Martin and Nikki Lowry. A record amount of donations were contributed toward the maintenance and repair of the old historic cemetery.

Beth and Paul Schneider relate a mining accident story.

Larry Pozil plays a spirit who died in an avalanche after a night on the town.

Stephanie Knapik tells of her life and many children.

Katherine Henney told of a distraught woman who took her own life.

Children take up comfortable positions on headstones to listen to Van Martin's story.
